Mount Brown Waipara Valley Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 01-Dec-2015
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight lemon hues, lighter edged. The nose is softly full and voluminous with lifted aromas of exotic florals and honeysuckle in a harmonious amalgam of subtle tropical fruits and fresh fermentation esters. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit is softly rich and luscious and the mouthfeel gently unctuous. Flavours of yellow stonefruits, tropical fruits, exotic florals and honey flow smoothly along a soft core and line. Ethereal florals unfold along with fermentation esters and carry to a smooth, light, lingering with soft acid freshness. This is a soft-textured, smooth-flowing, aromatic, off-dry Pinot Gris with exotic notes. Serve with Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese fare over the next 2-3 years. A single vineyard wine, the fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 8 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Dec 2015 RRP $14.99
