Mount Brown North Canterbury Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 13-Sep-2018
Bright, very pale straw-colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is softly full with fresh and punchy, pungent passionfruit aromas along with notes of tropical fruits, fresh and dark herbs forming a tight core, unfolding subtle nettle and mouthwatering mineral elements in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this has a tightly bound and intense, penetrating heart with pungent passionfruit flavours entwined with tropical fruits and herbs. The palate is refreshing and lively and flows along a light-textured line with plenty of acid energy, carrying to a lingering, thirst-quenching finish. This is a refreshing, punchy, pungent passionfruited Sauvignon Blanc with a tight heart, a fine-textured line and brisk acidity. Match with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Estate fruit, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 18.0+/20 Sep 2018 RRP $15.99
