Mount Brown North Canterbury Riesling 2017

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 26-Mar-2018
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, very light on the rim. The nose is fine and firm, with tightly bound aromas of lime fruit alongside musky notes, apples, nutty elements and some steely minerals, unfolding a suggestion of toast. Medium-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has light flavours of citrus and floral fruit entwined with a little musk and nutty detail to form a taut, slender core. The wine flows smoothly with slippery acidity and very fine textures, carried by crisp acidity to a light, but lingering finish. This is a taut, light flavoured medium-dry Riesling with citrus, floral and nutty flavours with a little musk on a slippery palate. Serve as an aperitif over the next 2-3+ years. A single estate wine, the fruit with a little botrytis infection, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 11.0% alc., and 10 g/L RS. 16.5-/20 Mar 2018 RRP $16.99
