Bright, light golden-yellow colour with lemon hues, lighter edged. The nose is softly full and gently packed with dense aromas of ripe lime and lemon fruit melded with notes of root ginger and spices, honeysuckle and botrytis musk and talc, unfolding herbal detail. Medium-dry to medium in taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is soft and rich with gently mouthfilling flavours of lime and lemonade, along with exotic tropical fruits, honeysuckle and musk, and some root ginger and spice suggestions. The flavours flow along a rounded, but well-concentrated line with very fine, smooth textures and subtly fresh, underlying acidity. The wine carries easily to a long and sustained finish of citrus fruits, spices, honey and musk. This is a softly rich and rounded, concentrated medium Riesling with citrus fruits, ginger and spices, honey and musk flavours. Serve as an aperitif, and with fruit over the next 5+ years. Late-picked fruit approx. one-third botrytis-affected from ‘Mount Brown Estates’, tank-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 18 g/L RS. 18.5/20 Dec 2016 RRP $22.99
