Mount Brown Estates Grand Reserve Rosé 2022, North Canterbury

Rosé from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 15-Mar-2023
Bright, even, pale salmon. The nose is full, packed with aromas of strawberry and cherry intermixed with a hint of herb, spice and savouriness. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, strawberry and cherry aromas melded with raspberry, cured meat, a touch of sage and pepper, and a creamy closing. Vibrant acidity carries a subtle note of caramel and spice along a creamy palate to a refreshing finish. This Rosé possesses vibrant, juicy red fruit with a touch of herb and spice, enriched by a caramel note, meaty nuance and a creamy mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif or match with spaghetti bolognese and salami over the next 2-3 years. 98% Tempranillo, 2% Syrah, fermented to 12.5% alc, aged in old oak barrels. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Mar 2022 RRP $22.95
