Mount Ara Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 05-Oct-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour, paler on the rim. The bouquet is tightly bound with a core of savoury gooseberry fruit with cut grass and secondary green bean nuances, the aromatics showing depth and intensity. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses soft and light flavours of savoury gooseberry fruit entwined with a layering of cut grass and green beans. The mouthfeel is soft with light, fine textures and integrated acidity. The flavours follow a light, but relatively concentrated line leading to a soft, lingering finish with grassy and bean notes. This is a light and soft Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry, cut grass and secondary bean fruit flavours. Serve with salads and vegetables over the next 18 months. Estate fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and dryness, the wine aged 2 months on lees. 16.0-/20 Oct 2016 RRP $14.99
