Most Wanted South Australia Shiraz 2016

Syrah from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 09-Apr-2018
Full, very dark, near impenetrable black-red colour with slight purple hues on the edge. The nose is soft and gently full with very ripe fruit aromas of blackberries and nuances of boysenberries, unveiling dark raspberry and plum jam elements, and suggestions of eucalypt and earth. This is harmonious and fulsome in presentation. Full-bodied, the palate has up-front and mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberries and boysenberries with black plums and notes of dark raspberries and hints of earth. The fruit is very ripe, showing richness and sweetness, lending softness and plushness to the mouthfeel. Subtle tannin textures and integrated, ripe acidity add to the roundess on the palate. The fruit is the feature and carries to a slightly jammy finish. This is an up-front, plush, and sweetly rich Shiraz with blackberry, boysenberry and plum flavours on a smooth, fine-textured palate. Serve with barbecued and roasted red meat dishes over the next 3 years. South Australian fruit fermented to 14.5% alc. 17.0+/20 Apr 2018 RRP $14.99
