Moss Wood ‘Moss Wood Vineyard’ Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - Western Australia
Review Date : 13-Apr-2012
Fermented to 14.5% alc., the wine aged 22 months in French oak barriques. Very dark, dense, black-hued red with purple hues, the nose is still tight, but brash with youthful, primary aromas of black berry fruits, cassis, spicy new oak and some mint and eucalypt. The aromas are intense and concentrated. Medium-full bodied, this is very tight and densely packed, but in no way is overbearing or overly sized, the wine retaining a degree of fineness and elegance. While lush and ripe with sweet fruit, significant extraction of fine-grained, very supple tannins provide a moderating dryness and structure. Excellent acidity adds to the sumptuousness of the fruit and leads to a very long, rich finish showing black fruits and spicy, toasty oak. This will keep a decade easily.  19.0/20  Apr 2012  RRP $150.00
