Moss Wood ‘Amy’s’ Margaret River 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - Western Australia
Review Date : 13-Apr-2012
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Petit Verdot, 12% Malbec and 5% Merlot from the ‘Glenmore' ‘Montgomery' and ‘Bantry Bay' vineyards, fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged just over 12 months in barrel. Very dark, deep, black red with purple hues. The bouquet is fine, tigh and concentrated with lively black berry fruit aromas infused with spices and mint. Medium-full bodied, the palate shows blackcurrant and mint essence flavours, luscious and briskly fruity, with fine-grained, moderately extracted tannins that combine to form a seamless flow and line. The acidity is fresh and adds tension, and overall, the wine is very accessible. One to drink over the next 4-6+ years.  17.5+/20  Apr 2012  RRP $52.00
