Medium ruby-black with a purple hue, lighter on the rim. The nose is gentle, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, rich herb and subtle spice. Medium-bodied aromas of black cherry and blackberry interweaved with thyme, black pepper, cinnamon, and pomegranate on the finish. Powdery tannins leave a silky mouthfeel; soft and lively acidity provides a smooth flow to a fine finish. This sweet-fruited Pinot Noir shows dark fruit, spice and lively acidity on a silky mouthfeel. Match with lamb loin and confit duck leg over the next 5+ years. Fruit from Bannockburn vineyards - 84% Felton Terraces and 16% Cairmuir. Handpicked, destemmed into stainless steel vats, one-third wild fermented, two-thirds inoculated. On skins for 27-32 days before pressing into barrel for MLF, aged 10 months in barrel, 20% new oak. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) May 2023 RRP $50
