Moorilla ‘Muse’ Tasmania Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir from Australia - Tasmania
Review Date : 30-Dec-2014
Pale ruby-red colour with lighter garnet hues on rim. The nose is light and fresh with aromas of soft red berry fruits and red floral lift, revealing a little orange blossom fragrance, the aromatics nuanced and subtly interwoven. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned and slender in presentation, featuring sweet and succulent, bright red berry fruit and soft red fruit flavours. Some spicy elements and herbal nuances emerge. The mouthfeel is well-balanced with clear acidity and moderate extraction, the tannins very fine-grained, carrying the wine to a sweet-fruited finish. Derwent Valley, fruit given cold soak, partial carbonic maceration and whole bunch, fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 18 months in 20% new large format French oak. 18.0/20 Dec 2014 RRP AU$49.00
