Montford Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2021
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, even throughout. The nose is softly full and elegantly penetrating aromas of ripe guava, pineapple and citrus, entwined with a hint of elderflower. Light-bodied, crunchy aromas of guava, pineapple supported by citrus, sweet blossom lingers on the finish. The palate is crisp and fresh, supported by well-balanced acidity; lightly creamy texture, rounded edges and subtle phenolics persist with concentration. This is an elegant, round-edged Sauvignon Blanc with ripe tropical fruit and a hint of floral with lovely concentration. Match with pork bao buns and white fish over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from 91% Wairau, 9% Awatere, machine harvested, fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc, 3.5 g/l RS. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Nov 2021 RRP $18.95
