Monowai Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 02-Dec-2015
Moderately deep strawberry pink with light red hues, pale edged. The nose is softly voluminous with light and harmoniously entwined aromas of watermelon and cranberries, along with nuances of soft herbs and red florals. The aromatics grow in depth and concentration with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this has a soft, gently packed core of strawberry, cranberry and watermelon fruit flavours. The fruit has sweetness, and the richness is balanced by light phenolic textures and light, lacy acidity lending a soft, thirst-quenching mouthfeel. The fruit is carried to a soft, juicy, light finish with strawberry and cranberry flavours. This is a softly concentrated and gently thirst-quenching rosé with strawberry and cranberry flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir given skin contact and cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Dec 2015 RRP $20.00
