Monowai Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 02-Dec-2015
Bright straw-yellow colour with hints of gold and a blush. This has a fresh, light nose with gentle aromas of yellow florals and stonefruits, along with delicate honeysuckle nuances. The aromatics grow in depth to show apricot kernel notes at the heart. Dryish to taste and medium-full bodied, the flavours of yellow stonefruits and honeysuckle are layered with apricot kernel and nutty nuances. The fruit is gently rich and the mouthfeel rounded, the palate balanced by light phenolic textures and enlivening acidity. This has good vinosity and the wine carries to a dry, linear finish of yelloe florals and stonefruits. This is a soft and gently luscious off-dry Pinot Gris with good vinosity. Estate fruit cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 7 g/L RS, a portion of the wine aged on lees. 16.5-/20 Dec 2015 RRP $20.00
