Moncellier Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Jun-2011
Fruit from the Awatere Valley, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 2.3 g/L rs. Bright straw-yellow colour with some green hues and a pale edge, this has a fine, fresh and intense nose of pungent passionfruit and gooseberries, along with fresh fermentation esters. Dry to taste, this has bright, lively and zesty passionfruit flavours with sweet tropical fruit notes. The palate has richness, concentration and substance, and is supported by softly textured but fresh acidity which carries through to a long, fruit expressive finish. This full, passionfruit flavoured wine will develop more richness and intensity over the next 2-4 years. Match with seafood, poultry, vegetables and salads. 18.5/20 Jun 2011 RRP $19.95
