Moet & Chandon ‘Imperial’ Champagne NV

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 17-Apr-2011
Soft, full straw-yellow with a persistent bead, this has an elegant and restrained bouquet showing yellow-stonefruit Pinot depth and light, but clear and classical yeasty autolysis notes. Dry to taste, this is crisp and tight on palate, with straight-forward Pinot depth and weight, balanced with proper autolysis, a little restrained in expression, but with a soft freshness and good length. An aperitif and all-purpose Champagne. An assemblage of over 200 crus, 30-40% Pinot Noir, 30-40% Pinot Meunier and 20-30% Chardonnay, employing 20-30% reserve wine. 9 g/L dosage.  Apr 2011
