Moana Park Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 05-Sep-2013
Fruit from the company’s Esk Valley and Dartmoor vineyards, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.1% alc. and 2 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees for 1 month. Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, pale edged. The bouquet is attractively fresh and punchy with aromas of ripe gooseberries, nectarines and herbs, revealing tropical fruits and a hint of smoke. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, full, solid flavours of gooseberries and nectarines form a weighty palate with good depth. The mouthfeel is dry with a fine, firm textural line, along with underlying mouthwatering acidity. This is lively and vibrant, and the thirst-quenching, juicy flavours are carried to a long finish with herb and gooseberry notes. This is a fresh, lively and punchy Sauvignon Blanc with dry, mouthwatering gooseberry flavours. Serve with salads, vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. 17.5/20 Sep 2013 RRP $25.00
