Moana Park Hawke’s Bay Pinot Noir 2013

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 05-Sep-2013
Moderately deep, dark ruby-red colour, lighter on rim. This has a soft, light and delicately fragrant bouquet of primary red berry fruit and red florals at the core, gently revealing subtle spicy cherry and herb notes. Light-bodied, freshly presented fruit flavours of red cherries and berries intermingle with herbal elements. The extraction is modest, providing a light, textural backbone. The fruit is youthful and quite primary, enlivened by fresh, crisp, and racy acidity, which carries the flavours to a light finish with cherry and herb notes. This is a refreshing, straightforward, youthfully fruity Pinot Noir with berry and cherry flavours. Match with tapas and charcuterie over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from Meeanee, destemmed and fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine spending 8-21 days on skins, with 10% of the wine aged in new French oak. 16.0+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $25.00
