Moana Park Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2012

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 05-Sep-2013
Even straw-yellow with light golden hued, lighter on rim. The nose is full and robust with aromas of ripe yellow stonefruit, pears and honeysuckle, with complex, savoury yellow floral and nutty notes. Off-dry to taste and medium-full bodied, ripe stonefruit flavours intermingle with nutty, mealy elements and honey notes. This is mouthfilling with good body and presence with some alcohol warmth and power providing drive. A rounded texture shows the balance of savoury acidity and fruit depth, and the flavours lead to a smooth finish with toasty secondary interest. This is a fulsome dry Pinot Gris with an array of savoury yellow fruits with nutty secondary flavours. Serve with white meat courses over the next 3+ years. Fruit from the company’s Dartmoor block, cool-fermented in tank to13.5% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $25.00
