Moana Park Estate Estate Grown Albarino 2020, Hawke’s Bay

Albarino from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 26-Nov-2020
Bright, straw-yellow with some depth and a green hue, even colour throughout. The nose is vibrant and fresh with concentration, aromas of yellow stonefruit, lime entwined with white florals and a hint of saline. Medium-full bodied, dryish to taste, aromas of peaches and nectarines are ripe, along with grapefruit pith and white floral fragrances. A soft note of pepper lingers on the finish. The palate is round and generous with fruit, ample acidity balanced by a few grams of residual sugar, lengthen the finish with a smooth drive. This is a full-flavoured, elegant Albarino with aromas of ripe stonefruit, grapefruit pith and floral features on a rounded palate. Match with five-spiced pork chop and spicey Asia fare over the next 3-4 years. 100% Clone 635 Albarino from Havelock North, handpicked, fermented in seasoned French barriques to 12.5% alc, 6 g/l RS. NZVS Vegan certified. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Nov 20202 RRP $38
