Misty Cove ‘Signature’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Dec-2013
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is softly full and voluminous with ripe, pungent passionfruit and tropical fruit aromas that show good depth and building intensity. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, openly accessibly and softly luscious and sweet passionfruit flavoura are the feature on the palate Some sweet lime and tropical fruit elements add interest. A dry, textural line underscores the fruit and mouthwatering acidity is present. The grainy phenolics carry the wine to a dry, textural, pungent finish. This is a soft, ripe and passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a dry, textural mouthfeel. Match with Mediterranean fare, including seafood, poultry and vegetables, over the next 2 years. Rapaura fruit cool-fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 6 months on lees. 17.5-/20 Dec 2013 RRP $22.99
