Hand-picked fruit from the Rapaura district, fully barrel-fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 20% new French oak, undergoing batonnage. Full, even, light straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues. The nose is steely and refreshing with elegantly concentrated with aromas of white and yellow stonefruits along with nutty barrel-ferment elements, minerals and lemon-curd MLF. Medium-bodied, the palate features light, fresh stonefruit and citrus fruit flavours intermixed with lemon-curd and butterscotch MLF, and delicate creamy barrel-ferment notes. The palate is poised and balanced by crisp, lacy acidity, and possesses good linearity, that carries the wine to a dry, textured finish with good length. This is a refreshing citrussy and lemon-curd flavoured Chardonnay with fine creaminess and fresh acidity.
