Mission ‘Vineyard Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 20-Jul-2011
Bright straw-yellow colour with pale, youthful green hues, this has a fresh, brash nose of English gooseberries, passionfruit and herbs, upfront and with good depth. Dry to taste, the palate is full of deep and accessible flavours of green capsicums and herbs, enlivened by zesty acidity. The flavours are rich and mouthfilling and carry through to a long, soft finish. Fruit from a single site in the ‘Red Metals' area, cool-fermented to 13.1% alc. and dryness, the wine given 3 months lees contact. Match with Mediterranean inspired dishes, seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2-4 years. 17.5+/20 Jul 2011 RRP $22.00
