Mission ‘Vineyard Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 27-Sep-2018
Bright, pale cerise-pink with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh with delicate aromas of cherry fruit with hints of strawberries, along with softly fragrant red floral notes and some mineral elements. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, this has delicate flavours of cherries and strawberries with subtle notes of red florals and mineral suggestions. The mouthfeel is gently refreshing and smooth-flowing, with lacy acidity in the background lending some energy and tension. The wine carries to a light finish. This is a light-flavoured dryish rosé with cherry, strawberry and floral notes on a smooth palate. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 months. A blend of 93% Syrah, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc from the Gimblett Gravels, crushed to press and fermented in stainless-steel to 12.2% alc. and 7 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Sep 2018 RRP $17.00
