Mission ‘Vineyard Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 20-Jul-2011
Fruit from an elevated ‘Red Metal' soils site, stainless-steel fermented to 14.0% alc. and 4.0 g/L rs, the wine aged on lees for 12 months. Bright, light straw-yellow colour with pale golden hues, this has a soft and gentle bouquet, quite open and broad, showing stonefruits, flinty lees work and minerals. Dry to taste, this is an elegant, medium-weighted wine with delicate white stonefruit and minerally flavours set in a softly textured palate. The moderate acidity contributes to the subtlety of the wine, which finishes clean and dry. A soft Pinot Grigio style that will match antipasto dishes, pasta and poultry over the next 2-3+ years. 16.5+/20 Jul 2011 RRP $22.00
