Mendoza and clone 15 fruit, 52% tank fermented and 48% hand-picked, WBP and barrel-fermented, this portion aged 6 months in 10% new oak on lees. The wine is 13.2% alc. Bright, light straw-yellow colour, pale on the rim. The nose is elegantly proportioned with fresh aromas of white stonefruits and citrus fruits entwined with a layering of complexing flinty elements forming a tight core. The nose unfolds nutty nuances in the glass. Medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing with restrained, but bright flavours of white stonefruits entwined with subtle flinty and nutty notes. The fruit is supported by fine-textured phenolics and fresh acidity lending positive linearity. The palate leads to a light, dry, flinty finish. This is a light, refreshing Chardonnay with subtle stonefruit and flinty flavours. Serve with seafood, poultry and tapas over the next 2-3 years. 16.5/20 Feb 2016 RRP $17.99
