Mission Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Aug-2017
Bright, pale straw colour with slight green hues, very light edged. The nose is fresh, bright and vibrant with gently voluminous aromas of cut grass, nettles, gooseberries and piquant fresh herbs. The aromatics form a tight and focussed core unfolding delicate, mouthwatering detail. Dry to taste and medium bodied, the palate has bold and up-front, vibrant and thirst-quenching flavours of gooseberries, cur grass, nettles and fresh herbs. This has a well-concentrated heart that is balanced by zesty, refreshing acidity, and the wine flows along a fine-textured line. This has plenty of mouthfilling presence and flavour, and carries to a strong, long lingering finish. This is a bold, fresh, up-front and zesty Sauvignon Blanc with mouthfilling flavours of gooseberries, fresh herbs and cut grass. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the estate ‘Blind River’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.1% alc. and 4.6 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Aug 2017 RRP $16.00
