Mission Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 22-Oct-2016
Moderately deep, light raspberry pink with slight purple hues, pale on the edge. This has a fresh, bright nose of cranberry and pomegranate fruit along with subtly lifted red florals and nuance of savoury raspberry confectionary, along with hints of fresh herbs. Dry to taste and light-bodied, the palate features fresh flavours of cranberries and piquant herbs, along with notes of pomegranate and raspberries. The palate reveals floral and confectionary notes. The mouthfeel is dry with fine-textures and light, refreshing background, thirst-quenching acidity. The light flavours of raspberry confectionary lead to a dry, light-textured finish. This is a dry rosé with flavours of cranberries, pomegranate, herbs and nuances of raspberry confectionary on a light-textured, thirst quenching acid finish. A blend of 55% Merlot, 17% Syrah, 15% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, given overnight skin contact and fermented in stainless-steel to 12.4% alc. and 6.4 g/L RS. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 16.5/20 Oct 2016 RRP $16.50
