Mission Hawke’s Bay Riesling 2014

Riesling from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 21-Aug-2015
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with pale green-gold hues, lighter on edge. The nose is soft, full and gently concentrated with fresh white floral and lime fruit aromas alongside nuances of chalky minerals and herbs. Off-dry to taste, the fruit expression is soft and ethereal with flavours of white florals and stonefruits, revealing subtle lime notes and minerals. This has a soft, textural core and line, the fine phenolics and refreshing acidity lending a thirst-quenching flow to the palate. The wine carries to a soft finish with floral and lime elements. This is an off-dry, mouthwatering Riesling with soft floral and lime flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 3-4+ years. Fruit from a single vineyard on Ohiti Road from a long-term contract grower, indigenous yeast fermented in stainless-steel to 11.5% alc., 16 g/L RS and TA 6.5 g/L. 16.5+/20 Aug 2015 RRP $15.99
