Mission Hawke’s Bay Gewurztraminer 2017

Gewurztraminer from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 27-Sep-2018
Full, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, a little paler on the edge. The nose is full and softly voluminous with well-packed and deep aromas of exotic tropical fruit melded with rose-petal florals and Turkish Delight, revealing a little honey and musk, with creaming soda and root ginger. Medium in sweetness and medium-full bodied, the palate has gently rich flavours of tropical fruit and exotic florals with Turkish Delight along with notes of honey and musk. The flavours are mouthfilling and flow along a light phenolic-textured line with integrated acidity. This leads to a soft finish of root ginger and creaming soda. This is a gently mouthfilling, exotic medium Gewurztraminer with tropical fruit, rose-petal florals, Turkish Delight and musk on a fine-textured line. Match with Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 3 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit with some botrytis, approx. 20-30% with shrivel, fermented in tank to 13.7% alc. and 10 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Sep 2018 RRP $15.00
