Mission Hawke’s Bay Gewurztraminer 2015

Gewurztraminer from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 17-Feb-2016
Bright, lemon-hued, pale gold colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh with accessible and open aromas of exotic rose-petal florals, honey, root ginger and musk, along with delicate flinty lees detail. Off-dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the fruit is elegantly expressed with gently rich and lush flavours of rose-petals, honey and musk. The mouthfeel features soft textures and the palate is guided by a fine textural thread, and enlivened by balanced acidity. The fruit richness is carried to a light, lingering finish with floral and musk nuances. This is an elegant and gently rich, off-dry Gewurztraminer with exotic floral, honey and musk flavours. Serve with Asian fare over the next 2-3 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit fermented to 14.1% alc. and 7 g/L RS. 17.0-/20 Feb 2016 RRP $15.99
