Misha’s Vineyard The Soloist Pinot Rosé 2021, Central Otago

Rosé from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 20-Sep-2021
Bright, pale neon-pink colour, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full and vibrant, packed with aromas of field berries, pink peppercorn, lemonade, red florals and suggestions of strawberry flavoured confectionery. Medium-light bodied, dry-ish to taste, fresh nuances of strawberries, cranberries, cherries lifted by lemonade, lemon peels, along with red flower petals linger to a mouth-watering, juicy finish. The fruit has good concentration and flavours, contribute to a lovely weight on the palate; subtle fine-textured phenolic added a silky mouthfeel, supported by lively acidity. This is a juicy Pinot Rosé with field berries flavours, adorned with a smooth texture and peppery details. Match with Thai beef salad and venison salami over the next 2-3 years. The fruit was destemmed, crushed, soaked for an average of 24 hours on skins. Fermented in stainless steel at low temperature, 5% fermented in older oak. 13.5% alc, 4.8g/l RS. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Sept 2021 RRP $28
