Misha’s Vineyard ‘Limelight’ Central Otago Riesling 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 29-Mar-2012
‘Limelight' is the medium-dry Riesling of Misha's Vineyard, the fruit hand-picked and WBP, cool-fermented with 14% by indigenous yeasts in old French oak to 11.5% alc. and 25 g/L rs. Bright, very pale straw with slight green hues, pale on edge. The bouquet is softly full with ethereal aromas of limes, yellow florals and subtle honeysuckle notes, the aromatic opening up with good volume. Medium in sweetness, gentle flavours of yellow florals, honey and citrus fill the palate with subtle waves that grow in richness. The mouthfeel is soft and plush, with lacy acidity, the palate one of harmony and excellent balance. Delicate honey notes linger on the long finish. This is a beautiful and gently honied Riesling that will match Chinese cuisine over the next 4-6 years. 746 cases made. 18.5/20 Mar 2012 RRP $28.50
