Misha’s Vineyard Cantata Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 07-Nov-2023
Moderately deep ruby-red, even colour throughout. This has a generous, uplifting bouquet, penetrating aromas of black cherry, plum interweaving spice and herbs. Medium-light bodied, black cherry and plum aromas melded with strawberry, black pepper, nutmeg and thyme. The fruit is forward and generous, supported by lively acidity and supple tannin. The spice and depth of the fruit carry a lovely, moderately long finish. This is an amiable Pinot Noir with forward succulent fruit and a well-balanced fine palate. Match with lamb burger and pork ribs over the next 3-5 years. Fermented in open-top fermenters with 4% whole bunch, aged in 300 litre French oak barrels for 9 months approx. 14% alc. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Nov 2023 RRP $34
