Misha’s The Starlet Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Central Otago

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 16-Mar-2021
Bright, pale yellow, colourless-watery rim. The nose is soft and fresh, green apple aroma, pear skins melded with kiwi fruit, gooseberries, meadow-field and mineral. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, the palate is crisp with aromas of gooseberries, pear skins and kiwi fruit, along with meadow and mineral. A chalky mineral line flows with mouthwatering acidity and subtle salinity. Zesty spice unfolds with pineapple, lingers to a salivating, crisp finish. This is a clean, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with mineral, salinity focus and a salivating finish. Match with green-lipped mussels and a pan-seared sole over the next 3 years. Handpicked, gentle skin contact, whole bunch pressed. 68% fermented in stainless steel, 32% wild fermented in older French oak barrels. 14% alc. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Mar 2021 RRP $30
