Mischief North Canterbury Riesling 2017

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 15-May-2018
Bright, light straw-yellow colour, paler on the rim. The nose is elegant and slender in expression with light aromas of lime and lemonade fruit along with subtle notes of white florals, a little musk, unfolding hints of toast and minerals. Medium-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has attractive flavours of lime fruit entwined with notes of sherbet and musk, along with white florals and hints of toast. The fruit forms an elegant, lightly-textured core and line, with crisp, lacy acidity lending energy. The fruit sweetness is balanced by the acidity and the wine carries to an elegant, lingering finish of citrus fruit, florals and musk. This is an elegant medium-Riesling with flavours of lime fruit entwined with florals and musk on a light-textured, but fresh palate. Serve as a aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 3 years. The label depicts the Fantail. A blend of fruit from two vineyards, fermented in tank to 11.0% alc. and 10 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 May 2018 RRP $22.00
