Mills Reef Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Nov-2012
Bright, very pale straw colour, pale on rim. The bouquet is full and openly presented with aromas of pungent passionfruit with sweet gooseberry fruit and fresh garden herbs intermingling. Dry to taste, soft, lush and up-front fruit flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruit and herbs are enlivened and enriched by fresh, racy acidity. The mouthfeel is softly textured, and the flavours gently recede to a light, dry finish with moderately sustained nuances of passionfruit. This is an attractively up-front, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a crisp dry finish. Serve with seafood and poultry, and most first courses over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented, with a small addition of Hawke's Bay Sauvignon Blanc blended in. 12.5% alc. 16.5/20 Nov 2012 RRP $18.95
