Mills Reef Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Oct-2011
Brilliant pale straw colour with green hues and a pale edge, this has a full, open and up-front nose of pungent passionfruit and tropical fruit aromas, along with nectarine note and an esters lift. Dry and medium-weighted, this shows accessible and moderately deep, pungent tropical fruit with greengage and stonefruit flavours on palate. The wine is softly presented but has good, bright acidity and freshness which carries the fruitiness through to a sustained, minerally finish. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented, a small addition of Hawke's Bay wine blended before bottling. The wine carries 13.5% alc. and 5 g/L rs. Serve with antipasto, tapas and vegetables over the next 2 years. 17.0+/20 Oct 2011 RRP $18.95
