Middle Terrace Waipara Valley Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 29-Jan-2017
Soft strawberry-peach colour, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is soft, light and uncomplicated with fragrant strawberry and red floral aromas revealing delicate confectionary notes, all harmoniously integrated. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has light, straightforward flavours of savoury strawberry fruit entwined with pomegranate and red florals, and subtle notes of fruit pastilles. The palate has soft, grainy phenolic textures and is underlined by fresh acidity lending a mouthwatering mouthfeel. The wine carries to a light finish of strawberries and pomegranate. This is a light, uncomplicated rosé with strawberry and savoury pomegranate flavours along with confectionary elements, on a soft, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. Predominantly Pinot Noir with 10% Pinot Gris and 15% Chenin Blanc, fermented in seasoned oak to 12.0% alc. and approx. 5 g/L RS. 16.0+/20 Jan 2017 RRP $20.00
