Middle-Earth Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 18-Apr-2013
Sauvignon Blanc fruit cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 4.4 g/L rs, the wine undergoing batonnage. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. This has a fresh, tight, elegantly presented and pure bouquet showing an amalgam of gooseberries and passionfruit, fresh herbs and nettles, in the cooler spectrum. Dry to taste, lifted gooseberry, herbal and white floral fruit flavours are supported by a finely textured, linear palate. The acidity is brisk and mouthwatering, and the wine has a refreshing balance which leads to a dry, minerally finish. This is a crisp and thirst-quenching Sauvignon Blanc with cooler-spectrum flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with shellfish over the next 2 years. 16.5-/20 Apr 2013 RRP $23.99
