Michel Gros Bourgogne Hauts Cote de Nuits 2008

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Jul-2011
Quite full in colour with purple hues to the ruby-red. The nose has aromas of dark red berry fruits, with an intriguing combination of dark red floral perfumes and savoury, meaty elements, indicative of some brett. Bright berry fruit flavours are allied to savoury game notes, the richness of the fruit is framed within firmly textured tannins that hint at dryness. This is a bright modern expression that needs food to moderate the tannin grip. Drink over the next 4-5 years.  Jul 2011
