Full, deep purple core with ruby, lighter on the rim, youthful in appearance. The nose is gently full, with bright aromas of bramble, blueberries, melded with a hint of smoke, sweet spice and toffee. Medium-full bodied, bright and succulent aromas of bramble fruit entwined with chocolate, toffee and sweet spice. The fruit is juicy and attractive, with a great balance of ripeness and tartness. Supple tannin extraction provides a soft tannin grip and chocolate reminiscent. This juicy, bramble fruited Petite Sirah has generous fruit and caramel oak enrichment. Match with black pepper beef and grill meat over the next 3-5 years. Fruit from Lodi AVA, fermented on skins for 6-9 days, pressed to stainless steel to finish and fermented to 13.5% alc, aged on new and used French and American oak. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Apr 2022 RRP $30
