Maui Waipara Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 03-Oct-2013
Waipara fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 5.5 g/L RS. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with some lemon-green hues. This has a delicate, refined and elegantly presented nose with gently interwoven aromas of white stonefruits, pears and exotic florals, with some ethereal musk and honied notes. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, delicate flavours of florals, stonefruits and honey unfold on the palate. Soft textures, discreet acidity and detail are the features, and the flavours carry through to a light, lingering finish with lifted floral nuances. This is a subtle and detailed aromatic, dry Pinot Gris with exotic florals nuances. Serve as an aperitif and with Thai or Japanese cuisine over the next 3+ years. 17.5/20 Oct 2013 RRP $17.95
