Maui Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Oct-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the edge. The nose is soft and full with gentle and ethereal aromas of gooseberries, green stonefruits and subtle notes of passionfruit, fresh herbs and minerals, unfolding waves of passionfruit in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate gently blossoms with flavours of aromatic passionfruit, white florals, fresh herbs and mineral notes. The mouthfeel is soft in texture with fine phenolics balanced by light, crisp, mouthwatering lacy acidity. The wine flows smoothly to a soft and harmonious, lingering, finish of passionfruit, florals and herbs. This is a soft, smooth, gently mouthfilling, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with fine textures and lacy acidity. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.3 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Oct 2016 RRP $18.99
