Maui Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Sep-2013
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour, pale on edge. The nose is light, softly fresh and evenly presented with aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit entwined with passionfruit, lime, herb and mineral notes. Dry to taste and light-bodied, gentle, lifted fruit flavours of gooseberries and tropical fruits are enlivened by gentle, lacy acidity, providing a soft, refreshing mouthfeel with delicate textures and line. Nuances of white florals and minerals emerge adding some detail, and the palate carries through to a dry, thirst-quenching, subtly aromatic finish. This is a soft, light and gently refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and tropical flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $17.95
