Maui Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Sep-2011
Very pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, pale on edge. This is full with rich, ripe, pungent, fresh passionfruit aromas, upfront and softly voluminous. Dry to taste, the palate is soft and full with gentle, harmonious. Lusciously ripe and pungent passionfruit flavours fill the mouth, and are enlivened by very fine acidity. Seamless, near-creamy textures are the highlight and carry the flavours through to a long and sustained finish. Fruit from the company's Upper Wairau Valley vineyards cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.05% alc. and 6.0 g/L rs. A beautifully smooth and flavoursome, but refreshing Sauvignon Blanc to match with Asian seafood dishes over the next 2 years. 18.5/20 Sep 2011 RRP $17.95
