Maui Marlborough Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Sep-2011
100% Pinot Noir from the ‘Rewa' vineyard in the Upper Wairau Valley, cold soaked for 24 hours and fermented to 13.4% alc. and 5.5 g/L rs. Bright, deepish purple-hued pink colour with a pale purple edge, this is tight and shy on bouquet with esters lifted raspberry confectionary and berry fruit aromas. Dryish to taste, the palate shows soft raspberry bon-bon fruitiness, quite fresh and openly presented, matched by soft acidity. This is a gentle, soft rose with bright lollyish fruit. An easy and accessible rosé to serve with antipasto, cold meats, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. 16.5+/20 Sep 2011 RRP $17.95
