Maude Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Jul-2011
Light straw-yellow colour with pale green hues, this has a concentrated and intense bouquet of pungent passionfruit and gooseberry fruit aromas, with nettles and minerally notes behind. Dry on palate, the passionfruit pungency is tightly bound and restrained, providing some stylishness, and allowing the sweetness and lusciousness of the fruit to show. Slippery acidity provides a smooth and fine mouthfeel, and the wine has a sustained finish with green herbs and passionfruit flavours showing. Lower Wairau Valley fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 5.1 g/L rs. A fully aromatic wine with drinkability, to match with vegetable and poultry dishes over the next 2-3 years. 17.5+/20 Jul 2011 RRP $18.00
