Fruit from the northern side of the Awatere Valley, machine harvested and cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 2.3 g/L RS. Bright, even, light straw-green colour. The bouquet is very elegant and refined, tightly held with delicate and lifted aromas of limes, white florals, fresh herbs and gooseberries along with nettle and blackcurrant leaf detail, the nose building in intensity with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, elegantly restrained flavours of limes, gooseberries, florals and herbs are smoothly entwined. The mouthfeel is very fine in texture and flows smoothly, the soft core balanced by fresh acidity, leading to a dry and mouthwatering finish with sweet capsicum and herb elements. This is a refined and aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with a soft, mouthwatering palate.
