Matua Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Mar-2015
Bright pale straw-yellow colour, very pale edged. The nose is gently full and voluminous with aromas of gooseberries and soft layers of passionfruit, limes and herbs. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, softly presented flavours of gooseberries and tropical fruits form a mouthwatering amalgam with lively, balanced acidity providing freshness. The wine flows smoothly and easily, with a positive core and drive, carrying through to a light, lingering, thirst-quenching finish with fine textures. This is a soft and gently flowing Sauvignon Blanc with fresh gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. Match with salads and vegetables, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 18 months to 2 years. Fruit from vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.8 g/L RS. 16.0+/20 Mar 2015 RRP $14.99
